Dangerous Goods Magazine

Dangerous Goods are articles and substances which are capable of posing a significant risk to health and safety, or to property when transported by land, sea, or air and which are classified according to the regulations. The descriptions, maximum amounts, packing, handling and marking of dangerous goods are specified in detail in the Dangerous Goods Regulations manual published annually by ICAO, IMO, and the DOT.

These regulations are based on instructions derived from United Nations'and the U.S. Department of Transportation recommendations concerning the transportation of dangerous goods.

Classes of Dangerous Goods

Dangerous Goods are divided into 9 different classes with their respective divisions:
